I got a bad one recently called "security tools" It had a scan popup widow that looked real and said that a program was open trying to send my credit card info out, only problem, I don't have that info on my computer, It blocked all my security programs from working. I had to go into safemode with networking to download a small tool called rkills that is a tool to keep the virus for blocking any attempt to clean the system and a very latest updated Malware Bytes program got it!! I thought I was going to have to reload but it is good now. BTW I googled the security tools and there were online removal procedures. You may want to check that avenue. When Malware got it it listed it as a "rogue" in its log. mEl
