2 years ago, My friend and I filled up 2 boxes with gravel for her niece and nephew..
THEY WERE NOT IMPRESSED!!!!! But it made a point. We waited a few hours to issue out the real gifts.. kinda made the behavior straighten up a little bit.
I'll check with our local farmers co-op on Monday, as I can remember they always used to sell coal (but has been ten years or so ago since last time I noticed a pile there).. I think they heated their shop with it then as well..
Seems like I should be able to get a lump a bit cheaper than the Christmas coal website.. but who knows.. (being the family hauls a large portion of grain in there, they'd probably give me a chunk, given the circumstances.. LOL)

Glad to see I'm not the only one that does this sort of thing!! Actions speak louder than words.. If they know yer bluffing, like I always knew my dad was, it's hard to get us youngins to change LOL (He's been gonna scrap my treasures next week for 15 years now.. Makes me clean up once a month though lol)
