Need some help on this one. I have a Ford 340B. The 3 point will lift up and down slowly only while empty. That is, it will not lift ANY weight. I used another loader to help it lift a some 3pt weights and it stuck in the "up" position. When stuck in the "up" position, the flow control value also stuck in position. I tapped it with a hammer and it came free and the 3pt came down. Regardless, it won"t lift any weight on its own. It makes no difference if I have the flow valve up open all the way or on its lowest setting. The tractor"s 3pt hydraulic system (separate from the loader hydraulic system) has the required amount of oil. To me, it feels like a hydraulic relief is sticking. However, being a JD guy, I don"t know where to look. Seems like the hydraulic apparatus is fairly easy to access (bolted to the top and right side of the torque tube) Does anyone know where to start looking for problems?
