We lost 2 dogs in a house fire a few years back. Wife would not let us get anything else, she didn't want to go through the pain again. A couple of years later, we got a cat of all things. Actually got it for our daughter, but wife and cat are almost inseparable. Last night, oldest daughter brought a Black Yorkie to the door, and just came right on in with him. I could see "Momma's" eyes light a little, and a small grin on her face while all the time shaking her head, and trying to muster a mean look. Looks like Charlie has a new home :-) Cat is not happy, but they are learning to live in the same house, just different parts for now. It's all good though. They all make life better. I've worried about how long the cat might be with us (strictly indoor), so if he make 19, I won't have to worry I don't think.
