Tom, you have a valid point as far as our countries Electrical Highway. Thats why I promote Residential energy production. NO transmission lines needed, NO carbon footprint, other than mfg. TOTAL Electrical energy independance if desired. As far as senery goes, they look muck better than abandon dairy farms and decaying barns and silos. With the money that the remaining land owners get from leases, and the tax revenews that will come to local municipalities, maybe some of them can survive. This area was once the hub of the Industrial Revolution in this country. We had all the energy from our many rivers and streams, we had timber' Fur, fertile soil and the work force to turn these raw materials in to lumber to build buildings, turn grain into flower, and pelts into clothing,seat cushions for buggies to modle Ts, and fine furnature. On top of that the Erie Canal gave us the means to ship to sea ports to the east and west to the Great Lakes. Now we have empty scheletons of factories, abandon farms and land growing up to weeds. Since this country has abandon the American Worker and American Farmer we might as well grow Wind Turbins on the land, at least we can say that our electricity is Made In The USA.
