The Brits are a stubborn miserable type that had to have it their way. .455 Welby instead of the 45 Colt. .303 instead of the 30/06 and the .505 instead of the 50bmg. European rounds? eg. 6.5X50, 6.5X52,6.5X53,6.5X54,6.5X55,6.5X57,6.5X63 or 6.5X68. Yes they certainly liked that .264 bore size. Almost as much as the 7mm,8mm and even a few 9mm rifles.
