A good buddy (played banjo 20 years really good) gives me a hard time saying banjo players already had a bad reputation but now lawyers have started playing so their reps are now totally down the tubes lol
I had practiced and worked my original roll
3 2 5 1, 4 2 5 1, 3 2 5 1, 4 2 5 1
Where ONLY the thumb alternated (3 & 4) AN ENTIRE YEAR
But then another friend (played banjo 40 years) tells me to get a better sound n more notes I need to also alternate my index finger from 2 to 3 grrrrrrrrrrrr so I had to start all over but once I got it down it indeeds sounds better
Now its 3251,4351,3251,4351 I think??? Id have to hire somebody to see where my fingers go cuz I have no idea for sure, after a couple years its just feel and sound and intuition or something PLUS the thumb also changes where it strikes depending on what chords youre playing but you dont actually think where the thumb hits, it just happens automatically or something??
Still just a wannabee picker NOT a banjo player yet
