The reason is , I Moved up from Anderson Many years ago.There are still great players there that are of my age, and still have great CHOPS. The truth be known,most of the great jazz players came from that state.ie. Was Montgomery (guitar great) from indianapolis came to mind. I use to set in with him at Mr B"s on 30 th and north western along with Buddy ,Monk and Wes.Good times for me as well. Great escape like you said. Yep Mel was something else.
