My intention is not to build living quarters in a machine shed, but to build two seperate buildings. A 30x40 for a home and a 50x70 machine shed. Mike thanks for the offer! I have seen a few locally, including the neighbors, the wife would not have considered it without seeing what can be done. We are looking for a place to get started, we are in our twenties, I farm and need a place to store my equipment. We are renting a home and renting land in 2 counties I need a centrally located resdience with equipment storage. The home we live in is not well insulated and not conducive to raising a family in. With todays insulation and high efficency air/heating units I see no difficulty in heating and cooling a strucutre like these. We are looking for a place to set roots if you will and this is an affordable, realisitic option.
