After using a couple of chains and a come-along to manually winch an old Jeep up on my trailer this past weekend I thought about buying a "cheap winch" to mount on my trailer as I'm getting too old to keep doing it the hard way. Was thinking on mounting a 10000 lb winch on trailer and was wondering if anyone has had good look with a cheap brand from somewhere like Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply, or even Ebay. Don't want to spend alot on something that really isn't going to be used very much. I know some of you diehards are going to say buy a Warn but I'm not going to put that much money out for a trailer winch. I've got a 12000 and an 8000 lb Warn on a pickup and a bronco and they are good tools to have when needed but just want some input on the cheaper brands for my trailer. Kind of want to stay in the $300 price range.
