Working out of a home office isn't all that people imagine it to be. Voice of experience.
It will work well ONLY if you have the place totally to yourself during the time you're working. I do a good share of work out of a home office, and it was great while my wife was working full time and gone all day. Now she is semi-retired and cut back to 4 hours a day, and she drives me crazy. I'll be totally absorbed in working something out on my computer, and she'll walk into my office and start talking about painting one of the bathrooms or some such. Then she'll be on the telephone with one of her girlfriends for a half hour or more when I'd rather use the land line instead of my cell phone. Or when I'm on the phone talking to a client, she'll pick up the phone and start dialing without checking to see if I'm on the phone.
Some women look at tele-commuting and working out of a home office as a way to get out of paying child care. I can't even imagine trying to work out of a home office with young children in the house.
