Could you do a lead on something easy, and well known, and take out the background for others to fill in place of it?
Do a couple "walk a rounds" (for lack of better words) for other instruments to take the lead ?

I remember a machine awhile back My brother had tried out. It made 1 voice into a 5 part harmony but you had to change chords with your foot...couldn't get the hang of it.
