It would depend on how beat up it is. And if it works off the tractor hydraulics or if it has a front pump. If the valve system is an actual Ford part that bolts to the Ford top cover, that part could be worth at least $100.
The fact of it being a trip loader brings down the value a lot. On the other hand, a trip loader is a huge amount better than no loader at all, and only gives you 2 cylinders that you will eventually have to rebuild. If it operates from the tractor hydraulics, that operation will be pretty slow.
What does the owner think it is worth? I don't think I would pay much over about $400 for a trip loader if it was pretty nice. If it has been welded on and repaired many times, I would not offer nearly that much. You really need to be able to see what you would be getting.
But having a loader is really nice--probably the tractor implement I use most often. Good luck!
