I was in a small grocery and didnt see any rock salt.My son needed some.I asked the stockman if they had any.He said theres some out back and he went and got me a bag. After a good snow fall they had a pile right by the door. This is a Save a Lot Store.Their prices are often under Walmart and Hannaford stores.I find people most helpful in Maine stores, they must be glad to have a job.I see a lot of crabbing on TSC stores.I went to a TSC store last year to buy 2 small air compressors.I asked a woman if they had a flat bed cart. She went and got one and loaded two compressors on the cart before I could reach for one.Very pretty and pleasant woman, made an old man smile.I buy a lot of lumber for picnic tables from places that let me select my lumber.Ive had help pushing the loaded cart to the check out and help loading the lumber into my truck.Lumber for 5 tables runs over 1000 pounds. On a hot summer day the help is always appreciated.I use 2x10s for seat lumber and have a hard time getting good stock.I asked a fellow for help, he brought the fork lift over ,pulled the pile out and helped me select the pieces I wanted.
