Years ago when I was in boot camp at Lackland AFB (San Antonio, TX), we could leave the barracks in shirt sleeves for our daily workout. In a matter of hours we would be looking for a heavy jacket. The temp would drop so fast, it was incredible if you had never seen it do that before. Never be surprised by the weather, it has been doing this for as long as anyone can recall. The TV weather stations try to get us to believe that there is really an "average" temp, but there really is not. It can and will do whatever it is going to do, matters not what it did in any "same period" previously. Then you have the folks that say the world is coming to an end because the weather just went "out of normal". Oh well, are we really as smart as we think we are? LOL

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
