All new pumps now come with a new connector,,, never seen a old one fail but GM did change the connector... I have also seen the connection were the fuel pump relay fits into the relay center B bad and knock out the pump,,, this happens cuzz some dummarse while check'n the circuit backed probed it and spread the connectors,,, the tell tell was the relay would get hot,,, the fix was to slightly twist the pins on the relay...
