Indy, in case you're not aware, most new cars have black boxes that record accident information. Manufacturers claim they use the information to improve vehicle safety, which is probably true. But it also gives them evidence to protect themselves when someone sues the manufacturer over alleged vehicle safety defects. It is a matter of time before law enforcement starts to use this information.
But you make an excellent point: "Waite [sic] until you have a [sic] accident thats [sic] your fault." If you are involved in an accident that's NOT your fault, wouldn't you want to have all the evidence to support your innocence and to establish the fault of the other driver?
