By the time they tool up and build it,and add all the federally mandated emissions, plus a cab with air, gps, yield monitors, etc ,they wont be too far off the price of a larger machine. Not alot of small acreage farmers are going to stroke a $170,000+ check for something that sits 11 months of the year, just won't pencil out,and the major companies know it. If there was an actual market(2-3000 machines/year)they would consider it, and I guarantee they have looked into it. For 500 acres there are still alot of 6620's,4420's,and 9400's out there with 12-1500 hours thet will do the job, might take alittle fixing, but there won't be a $30,000+/year combine payment either.
