I have had good luck spraying all of the plug connections with "Fluid Film" I just put on the straw nozzle and fill the pins from the back and front. It really seems to help. I even use it on my battery cables and it seems to work well. As for your truck. You should get a lot of good use out of a full size truck with that low of miles. I have been looking for one like that to put a flat bed on to pull my goose neck trailers with. The DOT is cracking down on pickups anyway and I already have my CDL. A full size truck will handle the heavy loads better any way.
