Last new one I bought was 1981. 90 horse John Deere 4040 for $22,900. Probably the last new one I'll ever have bought. Same thing now,you'd be darned lucky to get for less than $65,000 at a fire sale. Not gonna spend my last days on earth trying to pay off something like that.

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
