That's right.. I've complained a lot the last couple weeks.. but today was a good day.. Long, but good..
Started at 630.. out of bed, dressed, and off to the dentist. Stopped off at the Ford dealer on the way home and picked up the part for my truck.
Was feeling bad when I got home, so from 10 to 11am I had a rest, changed clothes, so on.. About 11, the numbness was wearing off, and I was ready to go to it.
From 11 till 4, I scrapped on a combine.. Until the loader blew a line.. quick trip to NAPA and was back to work by 5.. Used the headlights on the truck and tractor to keep going.. really wanted to get it all cut up and loaded..
At 630, I had to run to the snowmobile dealer, and ran to the grocery store, and stopped for a quick bite to eat.. Was back home by 9, and back to it until it was all cut up.
From 10 till 11, I got the pickup back together.. and the brakes are workin good.. hooked the trailer to the truck, and loaded the only big piece tonight.. Wheeled the torch cart back in the barn and turned out the lights at 1230 am.
I'll get up early and finish loading, run one trailer in, and come back and run the second trailer in before they close at 1, them go get the missus a little something more for Christmas.. Then go visit friends at the watering hole, and if it's early enough, start loading up snowmobiles to be ready for Monday departure.
Sure was a long day, but dang, it feels good at the end of the day to know you accomplished something. (and it's really nice to have 2 trailers sometimes!! LOL)
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and have a safe and happy holiday weekend..

Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
