Never clamp a mag by the sides. Even slightly can squeeze them and make the rotor drag as they are fairly close clearance in there. Clamp them on the mounting flanges. Sometimes on those drive hubs we would put puller tension on them and then apply some heat to get them to pop off. Take the rest of the mag apart first.
