The first thing is that I forgot to tell everyone how darn cold I felt when I arrived back home. I left Vietnam with temperatures in the high nineties with high humidity. It was 9 degrees when I got off the plane in Chicago. I did not have any heavy cloths with me. I about froze on the bus. The second it a little different. My second son Bill, was born on Sept. 1st, 1970. You know what I am meaning. I did not get to see or hold him until December 15, 1971. The fighting had escalated and I could not get a leave long enough to make the trip home. My wife did fly out to Manila in July of 1971 and we spent a week together.
