The cap and rotor is the next logical step. I just had a similar issue with my 91 Dodge snowplow pickup, it would start OK (but run rough) when engine was cold.
Once it warmed up, it would die and not start again until it was cooled off. Cap and rotor made it 100 percent better.
I have only had this truck a couple months, so still chasing odds and ends of problems. DOUG
