Hi Bob - Baled for 10 years with one. Great machine, frustrating too. Won't bale "soft" hay - it wraps up around the rollers - great protection for the barn. You won't have it catching fire from spontaneous combustion. Start-stop operation is a pain for someone who likes to go-go-go! And the extra care required for raking can be annoying. Great protection for the baled hay too. Once baled, it is self-protecting in the field if you get caught by rain - rain runs off rather than in, as it does with square bales. If it runs ok, the belts are good and the ratchet pulley affair (table drive clutch) isn't shredded, it should be good! Good luck! : I would like to hear comments about this type baler- is it good bad or other? Also what are key items to look for in one of these old beasts before buying?
