To add more information here- The bolts in question were those that hold the flex plate to the flywheel. Ended up making the holes into slots.
Apparantly that caused the thrust bearing (basically one of the mains with extra on the side for thrust loads) was forced tight against the side. That caused that bearing to disintegrate and then sent the debris down the crank to the rest of the bearings and throughout the engine. Spun 3 rod bearings downstream and a few more mains.
I just stand back in awe at what I see on this engine and am glad it's not mine. My stomach would've been doing somersaults if it were me. My boss just kinda chuckles about it and says if you ain't got the money don't build up your engine. He can spend it however he pleases. Forgot to mention before he's got 2 injection pumps on it also...
