Common and rare will depend on where you are in the country. At that time around me the biggest cultivator was a 4 row wide with the 2 rows being the common size. After the end of the 2 cylinder era and the beginning of the new generation tractors then the 6 row narrow rear mount started showing up but very few wide row 6 row units. So what I am saying is out in Iowa I would asume they are common but in Ohio rare. Was a lot more 4 row planters than 6 row and up to the mid 50's hardly any 4 row planters. In 1960 the Deere dealer said the 2 row power lift used cultivators kept them jumping trying to keep up with demand as people was changing over from hand lift cultivators. We converted ours to power lift.
