Gramps started wearing cowboy boots from a very early age, but changed to what is known as an engineer's boot, but high like a cowboy boot!
It could be also known as a construction boot since Gramps always insisted on steel toes with a steel foot plate, he really did not want any nails coming up to bite him when he was not looking!
These boots are wider, therefore not the best for riding horses. Cowboy boots are designed (pointee) so your foot will NOT get hung up in the stirups!
Like I labelled this response, it is "all in the heel!" There are virtually three types of heels, a roper's heel, the typical cowboy boot heel (3/4 heel) then there is the "walking heel"!

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
