As told to me by my grandfather, in 1847 my GGGgrandfather built a house on mostly uncleared land and set up farming. 1862-1864 he was in the war between the states. When he came home, he and his wife had a bunch of kids,one of which was my Great uncle who built my barn in 1900.From there it went my grandfather,my dad and finally to me.That makes us five generations on this land. Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
