Jason, A few years ago my father was involved in a programme called "rye on the rocks" at Sudbury. The idea was to plant fall rye, let it reseed itself and continue until there was enough trash on the ground the hold some mosture and then spread red clover and sweet clover. After five or six years grass started to show up on its own. Hope this helps. Where are you? I live near Peterborough. Chas.
