Yes they are overstepping their authority. When they start fining the american farmer for raizing too much dust while harvesting his crops, they have gone too far. Anyone who has been around harvest knows it is impossiable to harvest crops of any kind without creating dust. How much is it going to cost Gleaner or case ih or deere to develope a dustless combine? How much more will that cost the American consumer for food. If you have been to the store you know the price of food has gone thru the roof this year. Now some of the new farm and road tractors are using a modifyed type of farm fertlizer for emission control. Are they going to let them put it back on the field and use it for the purpose it was intended, I doubt it, it will be contaminated with hydrocarbines and they going to have to pay for its disposal. Where are we going to store this stuff? Not at the local landfill, will it be like nuke waste and be stored at a government site?? What is this giong to cost the American Tax payer? The only reason the American farmer can sell his product overseas today is due to the drastic devaluation of the American Dollar. Just a couple of the places we dont need the EPA.
