At different times I have reused the original Exhaust Gasket by wraping it several times with heavy duty aluminum foil, punching out the exhaust hole and reinstalling the gasket; the foil will reseal the opening and fumes or noise are renderwed cured. The latest unit I did this on was the Generac Generator set on my motor home.I installed a 1 1/4" Exhaust pipe in a vertical position running up the side of the MH to funnel fumes and noise away from mine and others living areas, works very well.I had to remove the muffler to cut the diffuser on the muffler and weld on a 90 degree elbow for this exhaust pipe.works real well.Only the most critical observers mention it mostly.
