I wonder if they will put a similar 50 mi. restricton on saw logs. Or firewood logs delivered by truck ? OOPS - I probably shouldnt have said that out loud , now if the wrong person see's this they may. I am kiln drying a couple chunks of ash as I type this- inside my furnace. Maybe if you bring wood from your further woods to kiln dry it in a similar manner they could give you a break. I also bring wood up the road about 3/4 mi but always with a tractor , I wonder if I need the form with me , or if the DEC will come and check up on me as I have qiute a bit of wood cut ahead - stacked and covered It is all out off my woods or my neighbor's where we have been cleaning up tops after he sold some logs. I also hear there are new restrictions on the outdoor wood burners in NY. It never ends.... maybe we should all quit working, sign up for HEAP and ler the gov't buy our fuel oil.(just kidding)
