The blow killed him dead as he spun around and landed in the ditch. I stopped and backed up and loaded him up onto the flat bed trailer by hand. Nice young deer, maybe 200 pounds. Used my cell phone and called the Sheriff dispatcher and ask for a "car v. deer" tag and she said to stop in for one. One deer for the freezer with no permit fee. Had him butchered and quartered by sundown.
