OK, educate this ol' redneck Florida boy (transplanted from the Midwest 33 years ago) about Pelee Island.
We spend two or three months in a motor home each summer, and have been to B.C. 4 times in the last ten years. Only once to the Maritimes, back in 2001.
We stayed in Amherst, NS for a week, and toured Cspe Breton Island, and they were beautiful, and we met some wonderful people!! One of the best was the owner of a pizza parlor in Amherst, where we loved the seafood pizza.
We're thinking about going that direction again this summer, and would like to see some different territory. We love getting off the Interstate highways and like to see "local" things along the way.
