I went through the same thing many years ago, it's sure a time of mixed feelings....proud to have Dad give me some of his "personal belongins'", but it was sad too to know he felt like he was "about done". And now I plan to be "The old Dad" for my girls this summer. I'll be 77 and I guess it's time. I guess they'll wonder what to do with three pretty two cylinder John Deere tractors among other things, but they'll figure it out I'm sure. I wanted my two girls to have brothers but their Mama didn't so that's all I got.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
