: My North Geogia Mountain Landlord owns an old farmall tractor he bought years ago. The data plate says model SH, Serial number 1649J. Can anyone tell us what year and model it is? Also we would like to fix the brakes, What manual should we order and where should we get the parts to reapair the brakes..Thank You. I have one just like it. It is a 1953 Farmall Super H. It has the first IH disk brakes. They only work well if you use them a lot. If the tractor sits around very long the brake surfaces rust and the brakes don't work or don't work well. I have good brake pads and sometimes I just ride the brakes a little and they work good again. You can buy parts at a local Case IH dealer or through mail order parts companies.
