I certianly do not disagree with you, but that store needs help to run it. The help is far less than a hundred small mom and pops no doubt.
Our farming has went the same way, it used to 40 acres, then it went to 80. Now three thousand would be a high average. They sidestep the truckers, salesmen, delivery men, and alot of others.
The schools are now hurting, thus less teachers in our minds, less janitors.....
Trucking companies buy out the independants, or push them out of the picture. They had their hay day as they pushed the trains out of the picture for a while. I would say there are fewer train lines now than at one time.
I guess there are several examples we can see the same thing happening. Is it good? Perhaps not, but it sems to bounce around from competition.
