Buy the VERY BEST Wiss inlaid 14 i/2 inch straight snips and never look again for any power tool. May cost a lot and cannot be bought at a lumberyard or chain store. You need to go to a contractor's supply house. Small or cheap ones will not do it very easy. Ask a union sheetmetal worker. As an apprentice we cut 20 and 22 ga all day long up to 10 ft cuts. Put thumb through top handle and fingers through bottom handle and slide bottom handle on the top of work bench. Use palm of hand to press down on top handle. Lean snips with the top blade away from the sheet. When I was an apprentice the journeymen would pass their well oiled but worn snips down to his apprentice. We oiled them every night.
