I just picked up a strong running Kohler K321 from a JD 212 which was upgraded. Everything is going well with the conversion other than the old 140 has a voltage regulator on the frame, and the newer motor has one on the shroud with extra wires coming from the stator.
I want to continue with the new system, but I am unsure of what I will need to change in the wiring. Basically I want to remove the old regulator and use the new one, but I will have the woring harness from the old one to deal with and am unsure of what to do with them.
The wiring on the tractor already needs some repairs and such and with breaking my puller trying to pull the flywheel to change the stator and flywheel to match the existing wiring, it made it easier to stick with the new charging system already attached on the motor itself.
Can anyone offer any suggestions or help as to how to convert my wiring to accomodate the change?
