KALB-Albany International longest runway (1/19) is 8500 feet long capable of supporting 140,000 lbs on a single wheel. Category 1 ILS approach
KSCB-Schenectady County/Stratton ANG longest runway (4/22) is 7000 feet long capable of supporting 95,000 lbs on a single wheel. Category 1 ILS approach
KALB is mo' betta, although a "heavy" should have no problems landing at KSCB. There were probably other considerations.
