OK folks,
decided to ACTIVELY look for a new (used) tractor and have put out requests on several forums here that get plenty of traffic. All y digging around has turned up that there's not a lot of difference in european made tractors other than sheet metal (IE. the Eicher tractors I have found have MF running gear. German made IHC's haven't been made since 1990, and JD falls in with several other brands.
Thinking I only need to concentrate on features I want and what I don't want and try to be colorblind.
Want a cab and don't want a turbo or auto transmission.
Dealer support isn't real important because what I'm looking for is going to be an least 35 years old. Parts availability is important, but parts are all over ebay here. Thinking that'll save some shopping stress.
Going to put the FEL back on my little tractor in the next week or so and see how things go and just chill out and wait on something to come along.
