Power to the liftpump is only in start mode. When the truck fires the OPS(oilpressure switch)takes over running te LP. One wire to the OPS is allways hot(key on or off) the OPS fails frequently,i think that is your problem. The OPS is located on the bellhousing under neath the glowplug controller.PITA to get at
Jump the fuel relay Pass front pin to center rear pin.It should run the LP.if not then you got an open some where between the LP and relay. Check and clean the LP ground,it grounds at the stud on the pass side rear of head close to the fire wall
