Email is great, Voice mail is a pain sometimes and Texting is okay for small quick messages.
Email and Excel spreadsheets are great. The leap from the abacus to the Scientific calculator is the same leap from the Scientific calculator to Excel with all the Statistical capability with graphing and all that it is.
Email is a great invention (Al Gore invented that too....right?) I am fortunate to have taken 1 full year of typing in HS. At the time I thought is was a PITA, but now I am glad I did it. I learned to type on the IBM selectric. Remember that typewriter correcting paper and fluid?
