I'm not trying to get even with anyone. It's just common sense. There are thousands of used tractors for sale. Putting a very vague ad does waste a lot of peoples time. If you put a price range and the features you're looking for won't waste peoples time but will help to narrow your search. If someone responded with what you were looking for that was $500 over your budget, you might be interested. If they were $3000 over, they probably wouldn't respond. No one is going to give their bottom line price in an e-mail. Just the opposite. If they know you're looking, they're more likely to give you an exxagerated price thinking you're desperate. Your logic is what doesn't make sense. Just look at the replies other than mine. Dave
