Holy cow! Its bad out there, Farmington Il is in a blizzard and I can attest to that! We wanted to wait as long as possible to make the final round tonight since we have no idea what tomorrow will bring. The three miles over and back to the cows was absolute ZERO visability at times. The snow is piling up incredibly quick, we saw drifts as high as 7 rail pipe gates allready. The snow started right at noon and when I fed the calves here at home a little while ago, 5pm, the snow was deep enough in the barn lot that the front axle on the 4230 pushed snow and the vertical mixer was draging snow with the frame all the way across the barn lot. The animals are all fed, watered and bedded. The cows that we may not be able to get to have access to plenty of water, a open creek, and we took the bale proccessor and made windrows of hay for them to eat until we can get there. Somehow we will get the calves here fed tomorrow. It is unlikely that anything will move in central IL tomorrow as they are still calling for another 15 inches of snow overnight! Upwards of 2 foot total. Hope everybody is safe at home and for you folks to the east, get ready. bill

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
