It looks cool but..........The amount of money it would take to build a maglev train would be in the tens of Billions. Private property would have to be seized or paid for. Of course taking property is dead wrong. In China the government owns everything so it doesnt matter.
In the USA we decided to build an interstate highway system after the German built autobahn. Billions were spent to move cars/trucks from state to state. So in a way we dont need a maglev train system. It would only take 1 maglev train wreck to put the system out of business. How many investors in the USA would put up their money to build such a project? ----None. The US Government shouldnt build it because it would be a fricken mess and never get completed.
