that is sad.. fire is heart breaking . 1972.when Comin home from FFA meeting ,. we used to drop guys off on the way home because brother and i lived furtherest out.. fire trucks came on around us ,, and one of the kids wanted to see where the fire was and beged to go along if it was beyond his place ,, No problem , so we floowed the trucks to the Poor Kids Farm , the farrowing barn was a fire BAD ,.. we all did what we could to get the Sows and pigs out.. everyone got there ,,as ,the Kids Dad was ramming the WD Allis loader into the side walls and bustin the barn up so the SQAULLING pigs and sows could tumble out,, we then would run them down to the pond where one stayed and drowned , and others rolled in the mud for days .Very severe burns that smelled like ham in the skillet, as we were walking them over to the pond .. they butchered one on the spot that was alive but severely burned and turned into sausage.. from what they told us the meat was fine .. most all piglets got away seemingly unharmed ,only one sow did not make it out , and perhaps her litter , probably the one that busted up her creep and tore down her heat lamp and started the fire
