My son and I seem to have the same aflliction for dragging home old trucks and tractors of all kinds. We'll hear of someone with an old machine that has the engine out or the tranny out and we'll buy it cheap (or free) and drag it home. Typically have 5 or 6 rowed up at any given time. Anyways, we swapped a tranny and transfer case in one old truck last week and I found a simple carb problem on another yesterday, this morning we realized every single one of them is running. I can't beleive it, not one dead vehicle on the place. Thought I'd share it with you all cause it may never happen again.
I have Haggerty insurance on my '47 Willies military and the policy says "for events and taking it to be worked on". Which means I can drive it anytime I want cause you might be taking it to be worked on, you jsut don't know it yet!
