A friend asked me to help him find a set of chains for his 4010 JD. He doesn't farm, just wants them for plowing snow. The last storm had ice underneath the snow and the 4010 was helpless. I googled tire chains (18.4x34) and the prices run from about $400 to $900. I would think the cheaper set would do what he wants to do. Any to stay away from? 3/8 or 7/16 chain? Any input appreciated, thanks, Chris in NW Illinois
